so, how come no outrage here amongst our right wing friends about thrice married, cheating Newt Gingrich's character? It was clearly an issue last year with the whole Wiener shit show and with Obama's past association with Wright. Bert? Bubby? Blair?

Newt Gingrich: I Cheated On My Wives Because I Love America Too Much

Newt Gingrich: “There’s no question at times of my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate. And what I can tell you is that when I did things that were wrong, I wasn’t trapped in situation ethics, I was doing things that were wrong, and yet, I was doing them. I found that I felt compelled to seek God’s forgiveness. Not God’s understanding, but God’s forgiveness. I do believe in a forgiving God. And I think most people, deep down in their hearts hope there’s a forgiving God. Somebody once said that when we’re young, we seek justice, but as we get older, we seek mercy. There’s something to that, I think. I feel that I’m now 67 I’m a grandfather. I have two wonderful grandchildren. I have two wonderful daughters and two great sons in law. Callista and I have a great marriage. I think that I’ve learned an immense amount. And I do feel, in that sense, that God has given me, has blessed me with an opportunity as a person. Forget about all this political stuff. As a person, I’ve had the opportunity to have a wonderful life, to find myself now, truly enjoying the depths of my life in ways that I never dreamed it was possible to have a life that was that nice.”

i'd be a hypocrite if i did

i was married twice once for 9 month and she cheated on me once for two years and i cheated on her

but that was 20+ years ago and i was pretty fucked up for a few years there

i can tell you with certitude that karma is a bitch

plus i've tuned out all of these morons

my cousin and i were talking this evening about voting and we've decided to skip voting in the primary and voting on everything else except for the presidency in nov.

fuck them all

>i was married twice once for 9 month and she cheated on me once for two years and i cheated on her <

Yeh, but when we were discussing wiener, you told me that we should hold our elected officials to a higher standard....

Personally, i don't care what politicians do in their private lives unless it impacts policy, i just get irritated when conservatives exclusively attack liberals for their personal indiscretions and vice versa. Bill Clinton was a womanizer, yet a large part of his current project - the clinton global intitiative - is to improve access to education for women. Inappropriate behaviour in your personal life, doesn't necessarily impact your ability to govern...

and dumbfuck Bert's silence exemplifies this hypocrisy considering he's the one that's argued that Obama's personal relationship with Wright means that we should question the POTUS character.... c'mon bert, what do you think of Newt's character??? No response? Perhaps another post from you that doesn't actually answer this question?

It's also the republicans that run on family values and make their religiosity a campaign issue.

every politician talks about family values and their religion... yes, republicans do it more jerry, but democrats also do it which is why they're also hypocrites when they cheat on their spouses or act in a less than pious way...

Imperfect humans.
