Why is Santorum Outraged @ Obama? (its so stupid)
....because he thinks kids should go to college...the stupidity and nonsense of the gop never stops.

The most animated exchange of former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum's Saturday morning event in Manchester, N.H. came when he called out President Obama for his "hubris" and "snobbery" for proclaiming that all U.S. children should get a college education.
I was so outraged by the president of the United States for standing up and saying every child in America should go to college. Well who are you? Who are you to say that every child in America should [go to college]? I mean, the hubris of this president to think that he knows what's best.
I have seven kids. Maybe they will all go to college. But if one of my kids wants to go and be an auto-mechanic, good for him. That's a good paying job: using your hands, using your mind. This is the kind of snobbery that we see from those who think they know how to run our lives. Rise up America, defend your own freedoms. And overthrow these folks who think they know how to orchestrate every aspect of your lives.
It was a memorable moment during the 30-minute question and answer session with the Pennsylvania Republican, winning him a nice applause from the crowd. The argument feeds into several narratives, whether it is Obama's alleged elitism or the intrusion of government into different facets of personal life. But Santorum could have chosen a better setting to unveil the new line. The event took place at St. Anselm's college.

1st of all, obama said all kids should have the OPPORTUNITY to attend college, and to graduate with less debt....
2nd...why do the republicans manufacture such nonsensical outrage and pretend like its important
3. really, the best you got is Obama said kids should go to college--and you are trying to make that a bad thing.wow..the gop arguments are THAT weak, that now they attack promoting a college education?
come on redumblicans...even you guys have to admit how STUPID santorum is being.
IF Santorum get the nomination (I really can't believe that he will), the debates between him and Obama will be VERY entertaining. Americans in general deserve to know what this guys stands for.
And I have all the respect in the world for, say, auto mechanics. Buyt, desiring someone gets a college education is NOT snobbery.
you need 2 years of formal auto mechanics education (post high school) to be a properly certified auto mechanic...like through ACE...
so, even on that one, education is a good thing.
republicans dont believe in education b/c they want a stupid electorate that they can fool with racism, bigotry, homophobia and lies...the worst thing for a republican politician is an educated, informed voter!
college just turns decent kids into liberal commies
>I mean, the hubris of this president to think that he knows what's best.
The hypocrisy is stunning. This from a guy who thinks his particular morals should be codified into US law.
Santorum would make a good cleric
> Well who are you? Who are you to say that every child in America should [go to college]? I mean, the hubris of this president to think that he knows what's best. <
Of course, Santorum knows what's best when it comes to abortion or what the definition of marriage is... idiot.
Santorum was a Pennsylvania State Senator even though he lived in Virginia. The guy is an asshole.
Lest we forget:
santorum (san-TOR-um) n.
1. The frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter
that is sometimes the by-product of anal sex.

You know, if you list the shit they keep saying they don't like, it begins to sound pretty stupid:
1. Allowing two people the right to monomagmous marriage.
2. The idea that all kids should have the chance to go to college.
3. Bringing the troops home from Iraq.
4. Crediting Obama for job growth (while reserving the right to blame him for an increase in unemployment as quantified by the same measure).
5. Raising taxes a miniscule amount on the richest 2 out of every 100 people in America.
6. Medicare and Social Security.
Really? Do they just not want to win in 2012? At least Romney has the sense to just keep saying "economy, jobs" on a continuous loop, but the rest of them are just dolts. Well, not Huntsman, but he's about as good a campaigner as Perry.
7. letting women make their own medical decisions about their pregnancies.
8. science
when y'all started in on huntsman being the best candidate for the repugs i naturally said no fuckin' way, just because, well, you guys said so.
now i'm thinkin' you're probably right.
and santorum should be yer kind of guy. he has that pedigree thing going, bachelors & jd from Penn State & masters from U of Pitt. he's highly educated so he's obviously qualified to make decisions on how people should live their own lives with direction from the proper authorities.

You'd think with that kind of education the republicans would reject him immediately.
I'm going to stick with the guy that graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.
But at least Santorum is pro drug. (As long as you pay him to be.)
Santorum was working for the prestigious Pittsburgh law firm, Kirkpatrick and Lockhart, when he met Karen Garver in 1988. (While at the firm, Santorum represented the World Wrestling Federation, arguing that pro wrestling was not a sport and should be exempt from federal steroid regulations.)

You would think with that kind of education he wouldnt be a yammering moron.

Yeah because ONLY republicans do that.... Politicians in general use the idiot to further their ideology.

Point one is what I dont get about santorum. He says he wants government out of your lives, but totally wants a constitutional amendment preventing people from getting married. Wouldnt that put government square in the lives of millions of americans?
I dont think they want to win in 2012. If they did they would have presented a much stronger candidate. The most qualified decided not to run this year. They probably didnt want to be associated with those idiots.
i agree ned...similar problem with ron paul: less govt unless your state wants to restrict your rights on abortion, gay issues or racial issues..
ron paul: all for liberty unless your state decides against your liberty.....
There are virtually no supposed conservatives or Republicans nowadays that actually want smaller government. They are concerened with lower taxes and less regulations on business...that's where it ends.
Beyond that, they're all about really, really big government.
they are also for believing in the ceo's and corporations...but not the scientists and teachers..
