Well I did the yearly blood-work and all numbers are within' the "normal" ranges. At 10 years diagnosed and 34 years since sticking needles in myself to which I give credit for infection I have to admit I feel like one lucky F*^>!
Never attempted the chemo regime. Have stuck with my naturopaths N.I.H. approved "naturopathic" protocol. About all I can add is the one thing that I give credit for bringing my ALT AST #'s down to normal is "Hepatohealth" herbal mix by LongLife Herbs which was not on my docs lists but he approved it as he was familiar with the company and the institution that trained my acupuncturist whom suggested the herbs.

Thank ya'll for being here & long live the hep-cats!

I am now investigating the natural path so I would be interested in what you have found to be your best suggestions. Is LongLife a brand? My last biopsy said nodular cirrhosis.

Man, I am so happy for you, Steve. You are an asset to this place, and one of the coolest "cats" on the board.

I get my latest #'s in a couple days to see what's up since my early '06 "relapse" from the meds, if you will, and hope to be reporting similar news.

Luck might have something to do with it.
I'm guessing living right and thinking positive helps too.
Keep fightin the good fight Fred.

Thanks guys and gals.

Happ2cu...
Your stage may require a different a protocol "nodular cirrhosis" is different than my last biopsy which was stage 3 fibrosis. I think both doctors are brilliant but would require you to see them I bet.

This is the doctor who came up with that specific herbal formula.. you'll see he has many. I think he has basically improved many of the traditional chinese herbal blends.

check his site out.
Of note is that this guy is STAFF at Bastyr... another site to look into.

This is my naturopaths work...

The link is to the original study material. I know they have tweaked things since then.

I absolutely must say I am not qualified in any way to suggest your path or treatment... particularly given your at a different stage than I. If you are inclined and interested in pursuing these doctors expertise, contact them. I would start with Milliman as I know he has close to 30 years with HCV patients.

Good Luck!

Good news Friederich! My levels are all normal as well for this year and the past two. In fact, my viral count has dropped 35% in the last 18 months, most of it since I quit Rxs 8 months ago this week.Likewise on the naturopathy. It is not only saving my life, it's giving me back parts I'd forgotten i had.
Peace

Glad to see the herbals are working for you, Fred.

From that picture, there might be a little brown in that snow, RTD.
