Is there a special process to post to the Zone from a IPhone 3GS?
Hummmm...anyone know how?????
I'd like to know that as well I just bought an iPhone.
I have an iPhone, and from my research, yes one can post an image, but only using the URL tag solution. Because the mobile Safari applicatiom doesn't allow uploads, and the iPhone (currently) lacks a true file system, the Zones conventional file upload solution won't work.
Maybe there is shared value in providing an alternative upload solution specifically for the growing mobile device market?
use a browser other than safari and it works fine, haven't tested on an iphone but mini opera allows for it no problem on other devices.
Wow! Thanks Zonners... I have not checked back here in a few weeks, just gave up thinking it not possible . More help on to post pics from IPhone would be great for my up and coming trip to Thailand next month -wanted to send pics of the orphanage /coconut farm and diving from my IPhone.
doesnt work in opera
any third-party web browser on a non-jailbroken iphone uses the safari engine, so there is no suitable browser alternative unless you jailbreak the device.
benice -- my suggestion would be to find a free and iphone friendly photo sharing service, like Flickr, to easily publish the images to the internet, then copy and paste Flickr URL into philzone discussion.
test

If you jailbreak the iPhone it unlocks the kernel thus making it a full Darwin kernel, I.e. a full Mac OS x operating system no different than your MacBook allowing you to manipulate the files and directory structure and allowing you to upload and download files etc.
Thanks Lavabrain and Infamous Rock Star. The Flicker sounds do-able although it might be easier to just send a few photos to a Zone friend to have posted.(I'm going to Thailand and will have limited computer access)
and who might that be
Love you Bart!
